Angry At The Daily Show
July 11, 2006
A few weeks ago Jon Stewart of Comedy Central’s Daily Show did a segment on the fact that Congress was busy blaming video games once again because they have nothing better to do. In it he showed Congressman Joseph Pitts of Pennsylvania and showed us an unedited clip of him speaking. Meaning that the daily show did not mess with or misconstrue his words. They let ol’ Pitts speak for himself and boy did he put his foot in it.
He says that poor kids are the ones to be worried about when it comes to violent video games. Apparently because they are poor they will see players in the video game robbing cars or shooting guns and say “well heck I should go do that”.
However he also says that rich kids can look at these same video games and know it’s wrong. They are better able to play these games and know they are just a game, but the poor kids, not. Obviously no money means no brains?
Now Joseph Pitts is angry at Jon Stewart and the Daily Show because he didn’t like the way they portrayed him, but like I said they just showed the clip, he was a fool all by himself.

Game Companies Want Your Casual Dollars
July 10, 2006
People who big gaming companies consider casual gamers are being targetted for their cash. Gaming companies such as RealNetworks Inc. notice that games such as Soduku is catching on with people who don’t usually play video games and are looking for a way to capitalize on it.
Unfortunately for these companies many of those games can be found for free offline and on so they are trying to come up with ways to make people want to spend money on something that they can get for free. I doubt that will be a problem considering that people spend millions on bottled water when they can get it for free from the tap.
