Play As Obama In Mercenaries 2
October 31, 2008
Though original Mercenaries was a hit but, due to poor game play Mercenaries 2 couldn’t stay up to the expectations. The co-op game play can offer some fun and the explosions and destruction can be entertaining. But, there are a lot of bugs and faults in the game play. The enemy AI is bogus and the missions are sort of repetitive. The story is not good either.
Here is news for Mercenaries 2 owners. Gamers will be able to download and play as Barak Obama and Sarah Palin in Mercenaries 2. I think it will be a lot of fun playing and causing mayhem and destruction as Obama. Tell me in the comments what do you think about it?

Bioshock PS3 Review
October 29, 2008
Bioshock was released for the Xbox 360 over a year ago. It showed the gamers what they can expect from FPS games. On October 21 2008, it was released for the play station 3. It is a must play game for all those horror FPS lovers. If you have played F.E.A.R then you will definitely like this game too. The game offers highly realistic environments and graphics. The combat system is excellent. There are a lot of options to choose from when it comes to fighting you enemies. Bioshock has an intense story line which is full of twists. The in-game sound is just spectacular. There is a huge arsenal of weapon available; from shotguns to Tommy guns you can get your hands on all of them. In the PS3 version they have also added a harder difficulty mode. This is a must have game for PS3 owners. I will give it 9.5 out of 10.
Tomb Raider Underworld News
October 29, 2008
Tomb Raiders is one of my favorite video game franchises. Though playing this game needs a lot of times but still love playing it. I have played all the previous installments and I am now waiting for Tomb Raider: Underworld. By judging the trailers and game play videos that I have seen, I think it is going to be a great game.
Here is good news for Xbox 360 gamers. On November there will be a virtual fashion show where some designers will be presenting downloadable content for Lara Craft’s wardrobe. One of the creations that will be presented in the show will be chosen by the judges which will be available for download after the release of Tomb Raider. The winning designer will be awarded $3000.
From the game play footages that I have seen, Lara Craft will be fighting with Tigers, bad guys, wolfs and things like that.
Fable 2 Review
October 29, 2008
Fable was a huge success on Xbox. It was selected as the Xbox game of the year 2004. Fable offers a massive magical world that we can explore. We start as a child and as the game progresses we grow up, do jobs, get married, learn magic and fight against evil spirits. Fable 2 came out on the Xbox 360 on October 21 and was a huge success. Fable 2 features a massive world with an extraordinary amount of detail. In Fable 2 you also have a pet dog that helps you in your quests. There are a lot of different quests to choose from. You can either choose the good path or the evil path. The game is extraordinary in terms of graphics and the in-game music is also very good. However there are some problems in Fable 2 too. First of all earning money in the game is very easy. The story is not too deep either. The map is miserably poor and not very useful for navigation. But, overall it is a great game and you should definitely try it out. I will give it 8.7 out of 10.
Useful Cheats for Gta SA
October 29, 2008
Cheats for Gta San Andreas:
Gta San Andreas is on of the best games that I have played so far. Gta is one of the greatest franchise in the history of video games industry. Gta 3 revolutionized and took the gaming industry to a new level. Gta San Andreas was the third installment since Rockstar started making Gta in full 3d environment. The game allows you to take control of a gangster name Carl Johnson. In this game you can hijack cars, bikes, boats, airplanes and even trains. Here are some useful cheats for Gta San Andreas PC version.

2) BTCDBCB: This cheat fill your Fat bar to maximum.
3) JYSDSOD: This cheat will increase your muscle bar to maximum.

Saints Row 3 already on its way!?
October 28, 2008
When Gta 3 came out it revolutionized the gaming industry and gave birth to a new genre. With the launch of GTA 3, the Gta franchise became the largest video game franchise on the face of earth. After that a lot of games tried to copy the idea of Gta. Saints Row is one of those games that copied the Gta’s idea and even achieved success. Two installments of Saints Row are already out. The game features everything from hijacking cars, boats, planes, bikes and even tanks. The gameplay offered by Saints Row is exactly like Gta with a few minor additions and a funny side to it. Saints Row 2 came out on October 14 and achieved huge success. There is tons of variety in this game. A great feature introduced in Saints Row 2 is the co-op mode which is spectacular. The combat system is also very good.
Now rumor has it that saints row 3 is already in works. Not even 15 days have passed and they are saying that Saints row 3 is already under construction. However, only time will tell what is the truth.
Little Big Planet
October 25, 2008
Ever since I saw the first glimpse of this game, I immediately fell in love with it. Little Big Planet is a great game that allows you to create your own 2d levels and characters and play online or offline with your friends. The motto of this game is play, create and share and it stick to it. After playing the game and having an idea of the physics engine you can create your own levels with the easy to use in-game level build and share them online with others. It is a highly imaginative game and it all depends upon your imagination how you play the game. The character that we control is called Sack boy or Sack girl which can be fully customized. You can choose from variety of different costumes and outfits. You can also unlock new outfits that are hidden in the game. The story mode is not too long. There are more than 50 pre-maid levels that you can play but, you can always build your own. The in-game music is excellent and the game has a great replayability. Overall, it is a great game that is a must have for all PS3 owners.
Dungeon Seige2
October 25, 2008
One of the Awesome RPG’s to play. A Very decent story line is followed which is pretty not predictable and really requires brains and Talent to followup the Whole game.
It Keeps you busy with interesting Secondary Quests if you ever get board with the Main story line. No Time Limit Maps so its very convenient in FINISHING the Levels.
Only after finishing the Game in Level 1 one Gets to Play against Higher Difficulty which is a Bit Annoying. so, if you ever think of making a challenging Game, you need to finish the whole game on Level 1 then Proceed to Level 2 and then try the Ultimate Veteran Difficulty.
Graphics are Pretty Smooth Even on Pentium4’s Core not too Bulky.
Confusion on GTA
October 25, 2008
GTA Grand Theft Auto is a Series Engine Gameplay. Many people get confused and go on Renaming the Games as GTA I, GTA 2 GTA3 GTA4 for SA and then 5 for the updated mod and so on.
Well the Sequence is somewhat like this.
GTA3 has a Same core and the first game out was Liberty City with not so Good Graphics and Rendering and it was of course old tolday.
then Comes Vice city, this one is GTA 3b not GTA IV!!!
after Vice city Comes San Andreas (ONE OF THE BEST PLAYED TILL today with lots of New MODS and stuff)
and this year in 2008 comes GTA IV and is Available only for PS3 and Xbox360.
So next time Please rember the Naming Fashion.
F.E.A.R
October 25, 2008
One of the Most Amazing First person Shooters.
Till today because of its complexity, its Engines are used to test, Dog FIGHT Graphic Cards. With a Really Magnificent Shader and Volumetric Lighting effects this one really requires a beast to run on.
The Story line is Pretty Predictable in between giving it a nice Gothic and not so Pleasing Moments. One really needs to play this game with a nice Sound system on a BIG Screen, It Scares … out of you.
Towards the end, the Game follows some annoying sequences, Going up a roof -> the Roof Collapses and then a Tunnel, then Out and then Back to a Building and the Same sequence.
Overall i Give the game a 8/10.!!!
Free up your RAM!
October 24, 2008
Tired of a slow pc?? Dont head to the computer store and buy more ram. The problem is, as you install softwares, they put background processes which uses ram. Also your antivirus also uses ram to enable maximum protection.
But you want to run that intensive game at all costs, but you are not ready to uninstall those important softwares. The trick is to temporarily disable their services.
Now, got to start->run and type ‘msconfig’
you will see a dialogue box. under the ‘general’ tab, select ’selective startup’ , uncheck everything except ‘load system services’. Also under the ’services tab’ first select hide all microsoft services and then click disable all. now apply and restart. You are all done.
Patrician 3
October 24, 2008
Patrician III is being called a “real time city building simulation” by Encore. What this means is that you play through single missions or a campaign based setting starting as a shopkeeper, trader, or someone of a more lowly status. The ultimate goal here is to work your way up to Patrician status, and you do this by either playing the role of a good guy and helping to increase the trade, wealth, and happiness of your town’s citizens or by going the opposite direction and taxing them near to death or even taking up a life of piracy or smuggling to make your bank account fat. Basically, the ultimate outcome of Patrician III and how you choose to get to the end lies solely on you.
There are a few things to like about Patrician, the first of which (aside from the open ended style of gameplay) is the number of options available to you in order to achieve your ultimate goal or just have fun with. This includes building lots of things to increase the town’s overall visibility, like warehouses, schools and such, but you can also focus on building up armies and defenses to help your people feel safe. Also, you can take a much simpler road in life if you choose to do so by simply focusing on the buying and selling of goods, or even set sail to try and be a hero by destroying pirate lairs. Basically, it’s all up to you.
OK, so while you’re doing all of this trading, diplomacy, and piracy on the high seas, is there anything else? Of course there is. Along the way, you will also get various messages, tasks, or events that will pop up that you can pay attention to (or not, since you can do what you want). While running your errands, you may be asked to watch your home town for people who may be trying to trade with a rival city, or to help make a celebration great by bringing in various goods for the people, or even get married … and rather than the bride’s father footing the bill, it’s up to you to make sure that your own wedding is well tended and enjoyable.
Another nifty feature about Patrician is in the mission structures that are offered in the campaign mode, and each mission can be chosen as you want to play it versus playing one, then another, and so on. The missions range from such things as simply gaining status from shopkeeper to Patrician to more exciting things like being a traveling merchant during the time of the Black Plague and being responsible for helping out during the tough times and helping it get back to normal once the plague has past. There is even a mission where you leave your business to a worthless cousin who runs it into the ground, so now you have to try and amass your 3 million dollars back in a 3-month timeframe.
Lastly, there is an option to actually go in and edit your own maps, and then set various options up in the single mission mode to challenge your overall skills. You can base your ultimate goal around population growth, wealth, points, or rising in status to become Lord Mayor or Alderman. You can also set the total amount of time that you want to accomplish this by, and can set the timeframe between 1300 and 1500 AD. There enough customization here to create a game that you feel comfortable with that can provide a decent challenge without being too outrageously difficult.
Really, the biggest downside to Patrician III is the fact that it is not as action based as some other nautical or piracy games that are out. The game takes place in towns where you go about building things or trading while keeping an eye on the overall population’s happiness. When you’re ready to send your ship or ships and their cargo out to sea, a line going from point A to B on the world map represents your ship’s path. You can pick the destination and speed up time or just sit and wait. While the second option tends to be the safer one to ensure that you avoid pirates or bad storms, it also can be an uneventful and long time in front of the PC. The random events help to break up monotony at times though, but they are random and don’t occur constantly.
Overall, I have to say that I enjoyed Pirate Hunter a bit more than Patrician, even though I liked Patrician and it offers a lot more actual building options and the ability to customize gameplay. This is simply because I am more of an action gamer myself. Patrician III is well suited for the “tycoon fan” player who is looking to amass wealth and power, while having events and actions that take place help to shape the overall outcome of the game.

Dead Rising for WII
October 20, 2008
This is a great news for all WII players, indeed Dead Rising will be adapted in this game console. Dead Rising is a shoot-em up where you have to kill zombies and where a lot of players have been able to test it during the TGS 2008.
But people, who tested it, were not satisfied because the gaming was very light, zombies to kill very few, exploration very short and so on… During an interview done by Seth Killian, Senior Community Manager de Capcom, he said that the game at TGS was only and a simple demo where the actions are limited and it cant represent the real game which will come out soon !!!
GTA San Andreas Coming To Xbox Live
October 17, 2008
GTA San Andreas is one of the best games that I have played so far on my PC. I have played it many times and I am playing it write now too. GTA is one of the most successful all time famous video game series of. The owner of this series is Rockstar. This game allows you to take the role of the gangster, complete missions, hijack cars, bikes, boats, airplanes and helicopters and even trains. Metal Gear Solid 4 On Xbox 360?
October 17, 2008
Metal Gear Solid is one of the most successful video game franchise with a huge fanbase. I am a huge fan of the series. The storybased gameplay of this game is totally different. The game allows you to take the role of Snake. In the previous games of this series that i have played there was not much action but the story kept me glued to myseat. The story is full of twists an turns. This series from Konami has been a Playstation exclusive for a long time now. The latest sequel of metal gear solid is Metal Gear Solid 4: The Guns of Patriots. The game offers stunning visuals and a great story full of twists and turns. The release of the latest MGS 4 has suddenly boosted the sales of PS3. For some times there have been rumors that Konami is planning to release Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360. If this is true then it will be a great news for the Xbox 360. Some of my friends have got an Xbox 360 and when they see me playing MGS on my playstation 3 they can do nothing but, get jealous of me. I hope they will bring out MGS 4 on the Xbox 360 so that all the of the Xbox 360 users can have fun playing this stunning game.
Call of Duty: World at War beta
October 17, 2008
Last month we reported that Treyarch Studios latest entry to the Call of Duty franchise would be receiving the multiplayer treatment prior to its official release. Now Activision has sent us the word that it’s that time of the month… in a good way. That’s right CoD fans, the World at War multiplayer beta is up and running on Xbox Live. Unfortunately for PS3 owners there are no beta plans and PC users will have to wait a little while longer for the unspecified date of their slice of the CoD5 pie.
For those Xbox 360 owners looking to join in the World at War beta, you’ll want to be a bit of a gambler in order to be granted access. To be part of the multiplayer experience you have to sign up as a CallofDuty.com member which will put you in the run in for a beta token. So get in quick before the beta tokens are all dished out.
The CoD5 beta will provide gamers with the “opportunity to play as U.S. Marines, German Wehrmacht, Japanese Imperial Army and Russian Red Army factions in a variety of game types (Team Death Match, Free-For-All, Capture the Flag and War), across three different maps.” The maps are as follows:
Castle – The Imperial Japanese Army faces off against the Marine Raiders in a daytime battle, located on the grounds of an ancient, Japanese castle.
Makin – The U.S. Marine Raiders square off against the Imperial Japanese Army in a nighttime fight, set in an outpost on the Makin Atoll in the Pacific.
Roundhouse – The Wehrmacht will fight the Red Army to the bitter end in a daytime struggle that features tank and infantry combat, set in a desolate, war-torn European train depot.
The multiplayer betas will only run for a few weeks, but that should be time aplenty for Xbox 360 and PC gamers to hone their online skills for CoD5’s release on the 12th of November.
GTA: San Andreas Hitting Xbox next week
October 17, 2008
It seems like we’ve officially hit the holiday video game surge, and Microsoft isn’t taking that lightly. As if next week weren’t going to burn our wallets enough with games like Fable 2 and Far Cry 2, Xbox Live will be getting one old and one semi-old favorite added to the list of games. The most interesting of these is probably Portal: Still Alive, which is essentially a standalone version of the hit title bundled in Valve’s Orange Box, but with some added bonuses. The XBLA version will include the original game, plus 14 extra challenge maps and six advanced maps for your extended enjoyment. The game will become available for download on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
Before that though, Xbox Live subscribers will be treated to an old favorite that once turned the term “hot coffee” into a dirty sexual innuendo. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will join the Xbox Originals to remind you what GTA was like before impressive physics and online multiplayer were introduced. It was a simpler time, when a man could get his character eat enough fast food to turn into a waddling mass of gangsta flesh; a time that Niko Bellic wouldn’t be able to replicate. Also, bicycles! GTA:SA will be hitting Xbox Live on Oct. 20.

Microsoft Sued in California Over Xbox 360 Hardware Failures
October 16, 2008
More reliable Xbox 360s are starting to trickle onto the market, but the fallout from the “red rings of death” remains. Now they’re facing a class action lawsuit in California.
Kotaku (via Daily Games News) is reporting that the lawsuit was filed under California’s consumer protection statutes, and alleges that Microsoft knew that the system would suffer a 50 percent failure rate, but concealed the knowledge to compete with the Nintendo Wii and the PlayStation 3. The suit cites articles from sources such as VentureBeat and Yahoo! to support its claims.
If Microsoft loses the suit, they will potentially have to implement a refund program in California as well as surrender profits relating to Xbox 360 sales. But even if they win, it doesn’t look like Microsoft will be allowed to forget about the unreliability of the Xbox 360 anytime soon.
Films, video games to get ads before classification
October 16, 2008
VIDEO games and films will soon be allowed to be advertised before classification in an effort to help thwart piracy, the NSW government has announced.
In a bill to be introduced in state parliament today, the NSW Classification Enforcement Act will be amended in anticipation of new federal laws.
The laws will include a maximum $22,000 fine for failing to advise consumers to check classification, or advertising M and PG-rated films during a G-rated movie.
“The increased risk of piracy and rapid advances in technology has led to many products only being available for classification close to their release date, which makes marketing difficult,” NSW Attorney-General John Hatzistergos said in a statement.
“In response, the commonwealth government, states and territories agreed to new legislation to allow advertising of films and computer games prior to their classification, similar to what happens now with certain films released in cinemas.”
“The new advertising scheme will benefit industry, while still protecting the rights of consumers.”
The new scheme will not apply to X-rated or other restricted categories. Advertising of this material will continue to be prohibited.

Nintendo DSi software region-locked
October 16, 2008
Software specifically created for the Nintendo DSi will be region-locked, meaning that European software will only work on European consoles, and more importantly US and Japanese software won’t.
Previous DS handhelds - and GameBoys before them - had been region-free, meaning that software purchased in the US or Japan could be played on European hardware.
However, Nintendo told Eurogamer this afternoon that DSi is region-locked “because DSi embeds net communication functionality within itself and we are intending to provide net services specifically tailored for each region”.
“Also because we are including parental control functionality for Nintendo DSi and each region has its unique age limit made by different independent bodies.”
The good news is that this only applies to software that is compatible exclusively with the DSi, and that existing DS software remains region-free. Internet browsing and photo sharing also works globally.
