Games in nintendo wii is really great for everyone. Everyone now is acquiring the console because of it’s gameplay. Surprising a great percentage of it is the middle age people. Because of it’s gameplay the player gets to exercise while playing. Take for example it’s tennis game. Where the player will actually swing the controller to hit the ball. Actually silly to see at times, but even doctors have been recommending it. Players or people have a chance to exercise in their living room. You can play golf and tennis without the sun and the high membership fee of clubs. And also, you can play the hit tv game dancing with the stars in nintendo wii. You can dance by shaking the controller, coordination and timing is the factor in the game. Nintendo wii introduce a very unique gameplay, the controller which has a sensor, that the charcter that you controlling in the screen imitates your hand movements in the screen. It’s like in the tennis game, the swing of the player depends on how you swing your controller. In the boxing game, you move your controller to dodge the opponents punches, it enhances your reflexes. After a game other player also works out a sweat. Beats other console of just pushing the Y button or the triangle button really fast, only the fingers gets an exercise. Although the graphics is inferior compare to pS3 and xbox 360, ingenuity and inventive we have to give nintendo wii a two thumbs up.

I am a huge fan of skating games and Tony Hawks skating series is one of my favorites. The latest installment in this series was Project 8 which was not that good but the previous installments like Underground and Underground 2 were superb. Another game like Tony Hawk is Skate by EA which was released last year and it was nice. The second installment of Skate, Skate 2 is going to be released on Jan 2009 and judging by the screen shots it is looking way better than the previous skate. That is too late. However, EA has announced that a version of Skate is going to be released on Wii and DS on Nov 09 2008. The Wii version will feature unique control scheme and players will be able to perform tricks using the Wii remote or Balance board. Only time will tell what it has in store for the gamers.

This is a great news for all WII players, indeed Dead Rising will be adapted in this game console. Dead Rising is a shoot-em up where you have to kill zombies and where a lot of players have been able to test it during the TGS 2008.
But people, who tested it, were not satisfied because the gaming was very light, zombies to kill very few, exploration very short and so on… During an interview done by Seth Killian, Senior Community Manager de Capcom, he said that the game at TGS was only and a simple demo where the actions are limited and it cant represent the real game which will come out soon !!!

I am a big fan of all the nintendo gaming consoles. I first started playing games when I was kid on a nintendo gaming console named Terminator. Thats a strange name. Well, i grew up playing nintendo games and i still like playing games on my Wii console. Here is a news for Nintendo gamers like me. The news is that nintendo has announced that it will not allow the transfer of points between DS and Wii. The point system on Wii which was called Wii Points will be changed to Nintendo Points and it will work on both Wii and the DS. But, you won’t be able to transfer points between these consoles. This means that if you will buy a card of 200 Nintendo Points. You won’t be able to spend 100 points on Wii and 100 on DS. You will have to make sure on which system are you going to spend those points before buying them. So, make a wise decision when you buy the points if you own both the consoles.

Satoru Iwata from Nintendo has announced that they will put in the market a storage card for WII. If you have the Nintendo WII, you should know that the 512MB internal memory is not enough to store datas. For example, the simple fact to save 1 song or 1 partition for the game Guitar Hero, you will need more and less between 30MB and 100MB so it will let us around 400MB and i am not going to tell you about saving datas from other games.
To solve this problem, a SD card of 2GB will be available, moreover the card will allow the player to load, to play and to download games directly on this storage. It will be very useful for players who consume a lot of data spaces.

PlayGirlz see that Queen E Rocks The Wii:
It’s hard not to like a monarch that, at age 81, can still get down and dirty for some family time with techie princes Harry and William. Apparently William received a Wii for Christmas from his girlfriend (and British tabloid favourite) Kate Middleton and he was goofing around with it in Sandringham Palace when it caught the Queen’s interest. Soon enough she was ripping up the lanes playing ten pin bowling and poor William has had a hard time getting in any playing time.
What do you think? Would your gran play Wii with you? How cool would a photo of the Queen playing WiiBowling be? And do you think Will and Harry made royal Miis?

Nintendo’s newest console could be reviving the games for the system that it replaced. It seems the Wii owners I know are playing more GameCube games than ever before. With the backward compatibility of the Wii, the gamut of games available to play is huge.
A trip to the local video game store will reveal that GameCube games are more affordable than ever. The same games on the PS2 are usually at least twice as much. So, with Wii games retailing from $50-$60, Wii owners can buy 6 or more GameCube games for the same price. Best of all, Wii owners do not have to use the Wii controller but can use their old GameCube controller, too.
I find it interesting that so many of the Wii owners I know are playing so many GameCube games, games that are thought be more for kids than adults. These same people never owned a GameCube but now have learned that there are some great titles for the game system.
While there won’t be any new games for the GameCube, it’s nice to see the games for the what is considered a kid’s console getting respect from adult Wii owners.

Over at Collabofit they just added tracking your video game playing time as a fitness activity. You don’t get a lot of points for it but at least they acknowledge that you can actually work up a sweat playing.
I’m one of the developers for Collabofit and thought that it would make sense to add that as an activity you can track. If you want an invite so you can start tracking your own fitness stats, let me know (send me an email to gserafini [at] gmail.com and I’ll send you a free invite).
With the Nintendo Wii this may actually be useful.
Read the whole story about how they’re the only fitness site to consider playing videogames to be a fitness activity here.
