Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories was the first game in the all time famous GTA series on the PSP. There are small issues in the game but, it is a great game if seen from the PSP perspective. The game was released by Rockstar in 2005 just after the launch of PSP. The game takes you back to 1998 and allows you to play the character of Toni Cipriani who has just returned from abroad. On his reuturn he starts working for a crime family . After that you will be taking over different gangs, managing deals and all the stuff that Criminal can do. In this game you can drive vehicles from cars, bikes, boats to airplanes. The game is actually a remake of the original GTA 3 with the addition of bikes and a few new areas. The game gives you the freedom of roaming around the open world environment at your will. In the beginning only a small area is opened but as you will progress further in the game new areas will be unlocked. In the end i would say that this game is a must for every PSP owner.

First I was scouting to buy a mobile game. Being a video fan since I was young I’m very picky in my console and games. I own a Super Nintendo, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation1, Playstation 2 and Xbox 360. Now I’m scouting for a mobile game. Of course I wasn’t expecting mobile games to have great graphics like xbox 360 or PS3. So I choose between Nintendo DS and PSP. Finally, I choose PSP, because of the god of war game series. I have just finish god of war 1 and 2, chain of olympus is only available in PSP. I was surprise the PSP has a good graphics. It is an equal I think to PS2. To think of it’s little screen and very little packaging could produce a graphics equal to a regular console. I never regretted it one bit. I’ve been playing it a lot. My plan was only to play when I’m not at home, like when where on the road with my parents or just outside being bored. But now I’ve been playing it more than I’m playing my other consoles. For one, it’s more lighter to our electricity bill, against a regular console like PS3 hookup with a 40″ plasma tv. It is really a bargain.

I am a hardcore gamer and I eat, drink and sleep gaming. I like playing games on my PSP. I am an ACCA student but, i still manage to get out some time for playing video games. Whenever I get some free time, I bring out my PSP and start playing. I usually play 2d games on my PSP because, they give you instant fun. One of my favorite games was Patapon. This game is known for its rhythm based gameplay. I like those cute characters throwing arrows and things like that towards their enemies. A good news is that Konami is planning to bring out Patapon 2. They have increased the number of songs in this game. The best part is that Konami has added a multiplayer mode in this sequel. The previous game was a bit difficult but, now Konami is adding an easy game mode in Patapon 2. I hope more details will be revealed in the upcoming Tokyo Game Show. Keep an eye on Thumbgods for more details about this game.

An exciting news for Playstation fans. And i am sure that this news will make xbox 360 owners jealous of the PS3 gamers. However, i am not going to be jealous because i own both of them :) . Anyways, the news is that it has been announced that a total of 14 games will be announced for the Playstation systems (3 for PSP and 11 for PS3) at the Tokyo Game Show. What more do you want! The titles include Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter 4 and MotorStorm. I can’t wait to get my hands on these games. This news is taking over my nights. I wish they announce a Kingdom Hearts game.

The Sony PSP has been released in the market for quite a while but in my case, we just bought ours last April. It’s slim and black in color. I was against at buying it at first but when I learned to use it, I got hooked.
I prefer just simple games like Virtua Tennis 3, NBA, Sims Castaway, and Luxor. There were other games installed too like Outrun, NFS, and Smackdown 2008. I play these too but on a regular basis. I’m still learning the ropes of these games.
Whenever I have free time, you will catch me playing with max volume on. I can play for hours and hours until my thumb hurts and that’s the cue for me to rest for a little bit and then resume playing again.
But now since I got busy with work, I don’t get to play often anymore but I just play songs from the PSP. That’s one feature I liked that I get to put my favorite songs to play when I’m relaxing. It’s also great that I can save pics of my family too.
I don’t regret buying the PSP and we will surely take care of it so that our son can enjoy playing it too in the near future.

I don’t like to play video games that take too long to finish. I am more into casual games that I can just play and stop any time I want. The best game that fits this profile perfectly is WTF. WTF is Work Time Fun. It is a Japanese game translated and adapted to an American version. Why is it so fun to play with? Read on.
In Work Time Fun, you not only get to play one, two, or three games. You get to play more than 10 mini-games within Work Time Fun. The premise of the overall game is that you are looking for part-time jobs that will give you money to buy trinkets and tools from vending machines. You have to buy and get more than 500 trinkets to feel that you have “finished” the game. But you don’t really have to get all those trinkets but just play the different mini-games over and over again.
One of the games included there is Lumber Jack wherein you would have to look closely if the one on the screen is wood or a fuzzy little creature. If it’s wood, you would have to chop it, if it’s a fuzzy little creature and you chopped it, it’s game over! But the fun thing about it is that the game will give you around 10 consecutive woods and suddenly bring out a fuzzy little creature. If you chop it, the blood will be splattered all over and your heart will skip a beat because it was all so sudden. There is also the Bishop Game wherein you control an ice pick (I think!) and you would have to make sure that it drops in between fingers and not stab the hand in front of you. It is a very exciting and stimulating game!
I suggest that you start playing WTF now and enjoy all the wonderful mini-games. WTF is the ultimate companion if you’re bored or commuting. You will never stop having fun while playing Work Time Fun.

The RAZR had a limited edition pink cell phone and now Sony is doing the same with both it’s PSP and PS2. For a limited time consumers in Europe will be able to purchase both the handheld and console in hot pink.
The PSP is expected to be released October 27 and the PS2 November 8. I have to wonder how well these colors will go over with male players?

Sony has announced that the new Playstation 3 game console will not be released in Japan until November. The news was expected by still caused Sony stock to drop 1.8 percent on the day.
The machine was supposed to be on the street this spring. Still, Sony says it will produce 1 million consoles a month and have 6 million available by next March.
The console with have a 60 GB hard drive that will support Linux out of the box. It will be completely backward compatible with PS1 and 2 and will upscale old games into high definition.
The whole system is supported by Blu-ray anti-piracy technology, which is where the hangup is coming from that’s causing the delay in release.
Will the wait hurt Sony, which desperately needs a new hit? It will have been more than a year since the new X-Box came out, so one can only guess what the repercussions will be.

2006 should see the release of Me and My Katamari on PSP, according to what’s been announced on Gamespot:
Today Namco confirmed that the growth is going to continue in the US and Europe in 2006 with the release of the newly named Me and My Katamari on the PSP.
For the third installment in the series, The King of All Cosmos and the royal family travel to a tropical paradise for vacation, only to be given the responsibility of rolling up yet more katamari to make new islands for homeless animals. As always, the king delegates his authority, and the prince and his cousins wind up doing all the grunt work.
The game was previously available in import only in Europe and the USA. No more precise date has been given, though, so a vague “2006″ it will be for the moment.

Is that a PSP in your pocket or are you just happy to read us?:
Having conquered the iPod, Playboy magazine is setting its sights on the PSP. The magazine will announce plans Wednesday to offer nude and non-nude photo galleries that have been specifically formatted for viewing on Sony’s Portable PlayStation.
Of course, we’ll only be buying the non-non-nude galleries for the articles.

Before turning The Godfather into a video game for the PS2/PC/Xbox, EA neglected to make the movie’s director Francis Ford Coppola an offer he couldn’t refuse — good thing, too, because refusing it is exactly what Coppola would have done.
They never asked me if I thought it was a good idea, the Detroit native said. “I went and I took a look at what it was … What they do is they use the characters everyone knows and they hire those actors to be there and only to introduce very minor characters. And then for the next hour they shoot and kill each other. I had absolutely nothing to do with the game and I disapprove,” he said. “I think it’s a misuse of film.”
We smell a horse head or two coming to the offices of EA very soon.

If you didn’t catch the new South Park episode that ran on 3/30, here are the highlights.
**SPOILER ALERT, BIATCHES**
Kenny (the one in the hoodie who dies everyweek) masters the game “Heaven versus Hell” on his newly purchased Sony PSP. Shortly after reaching level 60, the game’s highest level, Kenny gets run over by a truck and goes to heaven where angels enlist him in a fight against Satan and an army of demons.
But doctors on earth manage to yoink Kenny’s soul from heaven and back into his lifeless, brainless body and an ethical war erupts over whether to keep Kenny’s food tube in or let him die (I don’t know where Matt Stone and Trey Parker come up with such absurd stories).
Finally, the citizens of South Park agree Kenny should be able to die in peace and his soul returns to heaven to his holy, golden PSP to resume the battle against Satan’s army.
Unfortunately, the holy PSP’s pixels die, Sony refuses to replace them and Satan wins the war…
Just kidding!
Kenny beats some demonic ass and heaven is saved. The grateful angels reward Kenny with a golden Keanu Reeves statue and all is well again.
Trust us, this synopsis will make much more sense when you watch the re-run.
